PRIVACY POLICY · EFFECTIVE AUGUST 2, 2026
Privacy, plainly.
1. Responsible entity, scope, and effective date
PASS THE SALT provides Neighbor Relay for Android. This policy applies to version 1.0.0 of this offline learning guide. Effective date: August 2, 2026.
2. Intended audience
Neighbor Relay is designed for adults exploring responsible local volunteering and community-service coordination. It is not designed for children. Adults should use appropriate local safeguarding processes whenever a setting involves children or vulnerable people.
3. Purpose
The app offers general, neutral learning cards about consent, boundaries, privacy, careful coordination, factual communication, and reflection. It does not list active PASS THE SALT programs, partners, opportunities, service locations, schedules, beneficiaries, or eligibility.
4. Data we collect and transmit
The app does not collect, transmit, upload, sell, or share personal information. It has no account, sign-in, form, chat, contact form, payment flow, donation flow, map, location feature, or network connection.
5. On-device preferences
If you save a card or mark a card reviewed, the app stores only that card number as a local preference on your device. The app does not offer free-text notes, names, contact details, photos, or sensitive records.
6. Sensitive, youth, and free-text records
Neighbor Relay does not collect health information, financial information, identity documents, precise location, youth records, incident reports, beneficiary profiles, or free-text notes. Do not use it to record sensitive information.
7. Permissions
Neighbor Relay requests no Android runtime permissions. Its manifest does not request Internet, location, camera, microphone, contacts, storage, or notification permissions.
8. Accounts and deletion
There are no accounts, passwords, profiles, or server-side records, so account deletion does not apply. You can remove local saved and reviewed markers by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app in Android settings.
9. Ads, analytics, tracking, and SDKs
The app contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, attribution, remote configuration, telemetry, or third-party data collection SDKs. It does not use cookies or device advertising identifiers.
10. Sharing and third parties
PASS THE SALT does not receive app-use data because the app does not send it. The app does not sell, rent, disclose, or share information with third parties.
11. External links and network behavior
The app does not open external links, send email, export data, or connect to a server. It is intended to work offline. If you independently seek local support or emergency assistance, use appropriate verified local resources rather than relying on this app.
12. Retention
The only app state is local saved and reviewed card markers. Those markers remain on the device until you clear storage or uninstall. PASS THE SALT has no copy of them and cannot retrieve them.
13. Backup, restore, and transfer
Android backup and device-transfer exclusion is enabled for the app's local preferences. Saved and reviewed markers are not intended to transfer through the app's backup rules. Device-level behavior can still be affected by your Android system and device settings.
14. Security and limits
The app avoids network transmission and keeps its small preference state local. No software can guarantee absolute device security; protect your device with its available security controls and do not place sensitive information in or alongside the app.
15. Children and safeguarding
The app is for adults and does not create youth profiles or enable adult-minor messaging. It does not replace supervision, safeguarding, reporting, or consent procedures required by a workplace, venue, or organization.
16. Safety and professional-advice limit
Neighbor Relay is general educational content, not medical, legal, financial, emergency, crisis, social-work, or professional safety advice. It does not provide diagnosis, treatment, emergency response, or a substitute for qualified local guidance.
17. Changes and choices
If this policy changes materially, an updated effective date will appear in a future app update and on the public policy page. You may choose not to save any markers and may remove local app storage at any time.
18. Privacy contact
For privacy correspondence, write to PASS THE SALT, 666 North Fairfield Road, Kaysville, UT 84037-1251. Neighbor Relay does not provide an in-app email or data-submission channel.
